There are plenty of them in the desert. The smaller, the more poisonous. As an example, black widows which bites can be lethal. Luckily, they’re not aggressive – just don’t stick your fingers into holes and dim corners. You can acknowledge the poisonous females by the bright red-colored hourglass-shaped marks on their chests. In the Sonoran desert you can find big hairytarantulas. These are the most noticeable of all the desert spiders, but frankly speaking, they are absolutely harmless and some enthusiasts even keep them as pets at home.
