If you think you are lucky, then I’m lucky as well:) Actually, I have two Christmas cactuses with the same “deviations” of blooms. I don’t think it’s abnormal as I’ve seen the same thing on Christmas cactuses of some other cactus specialists. I think we all are lucky to have it, as it pleases the eye and warms soul:)

Hi,
I have inherited my Dad’s Christamas Cactus that is c.20 years old. It is just coming into bloom, after surviving a 200+ mile journey innthe back of a panel van. My 14 year old daughter is amazed as it is the first time she has seen it in bud. We have a profusion of blooms but one stands out – it is on the end of a ‘three leaved’ leaf. I have never seen this befoe, all the other blooms on the plant are as normal. Is this a regular occurence or are we lucky???
